We have compiled some resources for you to help answer some of the most common questions we have heard. We are in this together. We as Western New Yorkers and Americans will get through this together.  We are here for you, your family and your business- Please let us know how we can serve you at this time. Please know, we are praying for you and your family every day.

Current status?

New York state is “on pause” through April 29.

You can leave your home for groceries, medical reasons, to get gas, and exercise.

All nonessential businesses are closed. Grocery stores, convenience stores, liquor stores, gas stations and banks are considered essential.

Governor Cuomo increased the fine for violating the physical distancing policy to $1,000.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

According to the CDC, the following mild to severe respiratory symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.

  • Fever
  • Dry Cough
  • Shortness of breath

What do I do if I feel sick?

Do not panic. Your first call should be to your primary care physician, who will provide further instructions and recommendation.

Do not seek care from an emergency room unless you develop emergency warning signs: Trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in chest, new confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or face. (via https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/testing.html)

How can I be helpful to my community?

First, please take this virus seriously. Take the necessary precautions and stay home as much as you can.

Please see here the CDC’s guidelines on protecting yourself from transmission:

  • Check on your neighbors, particularly the elderly or vulnerable. Encourage those working on the front lines in the medical field. Check in on those you know in delivery work, grocery stores, truck drivers. Spread some love.
  • Consider supporting local businesses by purchasing gift certificates or gift cards to be used at a later date.
  • Be careful of the information that you are taking in or sharing on social media. Be sure the information is accurate and coming from an established source such as the CDC, or state and local public health professionals. Here are some links to consider sharing to your networks:
